World's First—The appraisal meeting of amorphous alloy for new grade 1 energy-efficient three-dimensional coil core was successfully held

On 4th June, 2021, CEAIA organized a new product appraisal meeting on "R&D and industrialization of amorphous alloy for new grade 1 energy-efficient three-dimensional core" of Qingdao Yunlu. The appraisal committee was composed of 7 experts with academician Wang Weihua of Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences as the chairman. And Guo Zhenyan, vice president of China Electrical Appliances Industry Association and relevant leaders of the company attended the appraisal meeting.
The main reporter of the project reported the results of the project, which focuses on the R&D and industrialization of a new grade of energy-efficient amorphous alloy for three-dimensional rolled cores. By conquering the four key technologies of "composition design and system evaluation technology, high temperature electromagnetic oxidation metallurgy technology, extreme condensation control technology, and low flow melt precision continuous casting technology", we aim to solve the current problems in the industrialization of high performance amorphous strips worldwide and break through the technical bottleneck of continuous and long time stable preparation of high performance amorphous strips.
After the report, the experts of the appraisal committee questioned and discussed the project results and carried out in-depth appraisal discussions.Finally, they considered that the technology and process innovation of the new grade 1 energy-efficient three-dimensional rolled core special amorphous alloy is outstanding, with independent intellectual property rights, the results are at an advanced level in the world and successfully passed the new product identification.
The appraisal is a demonstration and summary of the company's new products, but also a testimony to the development of amorphous industrialization iteration, so that there are "good applications" for “good materials”, with the optimization of material technology to promote the upgrade of customer experience on the application side.Amorphous alloy thin strip with its low coercivity, high permeability, high resistivity and other characteristics make the material easier to magnetize and demagnetize, can significantly reduce the electromagnetic conversion loss, amorphous transformer no-load loss than silicon steel transformers by about 60%-80%, in the global power grid, rail transportation, data centers and other high reliability of electricity, low load rate operating scenarios, energy-saving advantages are more significant.
On 22th Dec, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Administration of Market Supervision and the National Energy Administration jointly issued the "Transformer Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan (2021-2023)", which requires that from June 2021, new transformers shall meet the requirements of national energy efficiency standards, and newly purchased transformers shall be energy-efficient transformers. With the release and implementation of the new energy efficiency standards, the pace of promoting the application of energy-efficient transformers will gradually accelerate and become stronger, which will bring a broader market space for the "research and development and industrialization of amorphous alloy for new grade 1 energy-efficient three-dimensional rolled iron core".
